ZotFish is bringing about a revolution in public dialog, giving the public a voice like it's never had before. All by letting anybody ask questions directly of famous public figures, and vote on the questions that are most important to them.
Until now, the general public hasn't had any effective means of communicating directly with the people whose actions change our society — politicians, celebrities, authors, and more. Sending a letter or hunting for an e-mail address is time-consuming, and has little chance of a real reply.
And public figures don't always have it easy, either. Their messages are often distorted and filtered by the mainstream media, it can be difficult for them to discover what's really on the minds of their public, and they are always looking for ways to reach out to more people.
But now there's a new way: through voting, ZotFish gives the general public a single voice far stronger than it's ever had before. A voice that isn't filtered by the media or any of the "powers that be." A voice that is able to communicate with important public figures, one-on-one, in real dialog.
This site was inspired by the belief that, through honest, direct communication, the world can be made a better place. We hope you're inspired too.
This is the public beta launch for ZotFish. We've begun with a selection of over 400 public figures from a variety of different areas. During this beginning phase, we're collecting as many questions as possible, and are hard at work contacting public figures to get the first answers rolling in.
Of course, whether or not they choose to answer your questions will depend on the quality of those questions and the number of votes they receive. This idea is a great experiment in public communication, and its success depends on your participation. So please ask questions, and as a famous Chicagoan once said, "vote early, and often." (Don't worry, though — only one vote is allowed per question.)
